Faculty Advisors (FAs)

Faculty Advisors (FAs) will help student representatives navigate the policy-making system, advise on strategies to efficiently contribute to policy change and advise on developing appropriate procedures that are associated with these policies. Moreover, they will ensure that the graduate students’ voice is heard and ensure access and representation of graduate students in matters that affect graduate students. They will facilitate SR attendance at the respective faculty meetings, Graduate Advisory Committee meetings, and PBSE Executive Committee meetings, as appropriate. Finally, FAs will provide guidance on student-faculty professional relationships and communication around policy-development and provide guidance to navigate complex bureaucratic environments.
